About the role

As a Founding Sales Specialist at Copilot you will work closely with the Head of Revenue, be a critical part of our core team, and have a huge influence over the direction of the company. You will be interacting with Copilot’s customers everyday by giving demos, reaching out to customers on trials, closing deals and getting customers setup for success via automations and customizations. As an early business hire, you'll also have the opportunity to get involved in many other areas — support, success, product, marketing, and much more. This is a great role for someone entrepreneurial that excels in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. No sales experience? Not a problem, sales can be taught, curiosity and drive cannot!

Who you are

  • You're curious. Your focus is sales but you aren't afraid of doing adjacent work too— product, success, support, marketing, etc.

  • You're hardworking. You understand that building a category-defining company requires people that work smart and that also work hard.

  • You can quickly pick up new technologies. You don’t need to be very technical, but you will be expected to pick up tools we use internally or that our customers use (like Zapier, Make, or Retool).

  • You're a self-starter. You like to try new things and thrive in the unknown.

  • You're resilient. You adapt quickly to new information and aren't afraid to try 10 things that fail to find 1 thing that really works. But hopefully it doesn’t take 10 tries!

  • You're organized. You're familiar with modern tech tools and keep yourself organized. You understand the value of clean data.

  • You're a strong communicator. You know how to give presentations and demos that blow people away. You’re also an effective written communicator.

What you'll do

  • You'll perform demos for our inbound pipeline. Prospective customers can book your calendar a variety of ways, which you’ll manage from first contact to close.

  • You'll reach out to trials. You’ll receive notifications of high value customers on trials who you’ll engage with.

  • You'll help setup customer automations and workflows. Part of managing the end to end process is helping customers setup automations and workflows via tools like Zapier and Make.

  • You'll keep Salesforce clean. Sales gets messy quickly when you're not rigorous about tracking. Taking a little time at the end of the day, everyday, to update Salesforce goes a long way. We have lots of tools we use to help as well

  • You'll answer product and pricing questions. Not all of our customers want or need a demo, but they may have a few questions they want to cover before they’re ready to buy. You’ll help get them across the line.

  • You'll learn. Never stop learning.
